Exciting. So back to the future, like pushing Marvin's funky space reincarnation forward. There's frenetic pace on "Violet Stars…" and "Many Moons." Bombastic brass on "Sincerely, Jane" makes it sound like a pronouncement. Add a delicate cover of "Smile," a few earnest questions to "Mr. President," and this is actually a tighter package than The ArchAndroid. This is what hipsters think they mean when they say different is cool.
